Greetings, and welcome from your civic association, the Your Neighbors Uptown Association. We have represented the residents and businesses on West Main Street, West Cary Street and Parkwood Avenue, from Harrison Street to Mulberry Street for over 25 years. Your Neighbors Uptown is comprised of 12 to 15 volunteer board members and over 200 of your friends and neighbors. We are an active organization and would like you to join us, even join the board, as we continue to help make our neighborhood a great place to live and work.

Your dues for the 2011 calendar year are being received now, and your membership/renewal form is enclosed. Also enclosed is a list of meeting dates for 2011.

The Your Neighbors Uptown Board meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 pm. Meeting locations will be listed on the schedule of meetings and posted on our Meetings page. Meetings are open to all paid members or any neighbors wishing to make a presentation concerning any neighborhood related questions, problems or observations.

Some of our ongoing neighborhood projects and concerns:

• Crime/safety, ABC licensing, parking, noise and zoning
• Emphasis on traffic calming along Cary and Main Streets
• Maintenance of the West Cary Street Revitalization Plan and the Main Street Corridor Plan
• Membership and mail list development

Your Neighbors Uptown conducts twice yearly alley cleanups and represents you at the City's monthly Near West Focus Group meetings.

So please take a moment to fill out the membership form and join. It's a small investment in our neighborhood.
